 A WINTER MORNING

 Winter Morning in our country is foggy . It is cold outside. There is dense fog everywhere. Everything looks hazy . Things at distance can hardly be seen. The leaves of the trees are covered with fog and they are not seen from a distance. The sun usually rises late in a winter morning. Dew-drops fall from the leaves of the trees. A cold wind blows. So the cattle stand in a shivering  body. They donot like to come out of the shed. People get up from bed late. They generally get up when the sun rises. They put on warm clothes in a winter morning. The children and the old men are afraid of the biting cold  in a winter morning. The old and the children do not like it. Sometimes children and people gather  straws , make fire and sit around to warm themselves. They also bask  in the sun. The students do not like a winter morning. Sometimes they do not want to go to school. Nature looks dull in a winter morning. It is the time of date juice . So, the rich people prepare delicious food like pias in a winter morning. People also eat sweet cakes like bhapa pitha  in a winter morning. In the cities people eat hot cakes from the road side vendors.

অনুবাদ : আমাদের দেশে শীতের সকাল কুয়াশাচ্ছন্ন। বাহিরে অনেক ঠান্ডা. সর্বত্র ঘন কুয়াশা। সবকিছু ঝাপসা লাগছে। দূরত্বের জিনিসগুলি খুব কমই দেখা যায়। গাছের পাতা কুয়াশায় ঢেকে যাওয়ায় দূর থেকে দেখা যায় না। সূর্য সাধারণত শীতের সকালে দেরিতে ওঠে। গাছের পাতা থেকে শিশির-বিন্দু ঝরে। একটা ঠান্ডা বাতাস বইছে। তাই গবাদিপশু কাঁপতে কাঁপতে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকে। তারা শেড থেকে বের হতে পছন্দ করে না। মানুষ দেরি করে বিছানা থেকে উঠে। তারা সাধারণত সূর্য উঠলে উঠে যায়। শীতের সকালে তারা গরম কাপড় পরে। শীতের সকালে প্রচণ্ড ঠান্ডায় আতঙ্কিত শিশু-বৃদ্ধরা। বৃদ্ধ ও শিশুরা এটা পছন্দ করে না। কখনও কখনও শিশু এবং লোকেরা খড় জড়ো করে, আগুন দেয় এবং নিজেদের গরম করার জন্য চারপাশে বসে। তারাও রোদে ঝাঁকে ঝাঁকে। শিক্ষার্থীরা শীতের সকাল পছন্দ করে না। অনেক সময় তারা স্কুলে যেতে চায় না। শীতের সকালে প্রকৃতি নিস্তেজ লাগে। এখন খেজুরের রস খাওয়ার সময়। তাই, ধনী লোকেরা শীতের সকালে পিয়াসের মতো সুস্বাদু খাবার তৈরি করে। শীতের সকালে মানুষ ভাপা পিঠার মতো মিষ্টি পিঠাও খায়। শহরে মানুষ রাস্তার পাশের বিক্রেতাদের কাছ থেকে গরম কেক খায়।
